And while it is easy to take the latest generation of computers granted today, I am reminded how they changed over time by saving a screenshot once in a while. Over the last decade, I learned to program in quite a few different languages like BASIC, Shells, Perl, 'C' and Java. Although officially not a programmer, I often took initiative creating solutions to improve business or automating a process, crossing the line into programmers territory. This website has contains a selection of photos I want to remember and share. All were taken with a digital camera, first a Canon Powershot G2 (2001), followed by a G5 (2003) and now a Leica VLUX-1 (2006). While the camera definitely has its limits, its compact design and light weight makes it possible to take it everywhere. It takes patience and some luck to get a nice shot. I like wind sports, when I heard of power kites I knew I want to try. Balancing a huge kite in the sky that could easily lift and drag a person around is definitely challenging. I started out with a 1.8m kite, then 2.8m, 4.6m and 6.8m, finally ended up with a size I don't dare to fly on land. I am glad its just a kite and not a sportscar. :-)
